Mask or Mask in bits instead Range

Hi,

First, congratulations for this wonderful application.

But when I use Network Scanner is very tricky write the network to scan.

Will be easier if we have only one textbox where we can put any thing and the application should understand what we want.

For example:
192.168.1.1 - 192.168.1.254 (remove spaces and split by "-")
192.168.1.1/255.255.255.0 (remove spaces and split by "/")
192.168.1.1/24 (remove spaces and split by "/")
192.168.1.1 255.255.255.0 (trim multiple spaces and split by space)
192.168.1.1 24 (trim multiple spaces and split by space)

If incorrect data is added background can be marked red.

What do you think? Could be implemented?

Netscan already understands the standard notations. Check out File - Import IP/Host Name List



Those with a space are non-standard notations and are not supported.

Thanks for the fast response.

I didn't know this feature. I configured shortcut to "Import IP/Host Name List" and I will use it from now on.

But still think that for network administrators will be easier to have one textbox with same function that you explained above, instead two range "dot enforced" textbox. Of course, this textbox can be optional and could be activated in configuration window, so by default the application will continue easy to use for non experienced users.

Consider this feature for next releases. Thanks again.
