If I click OK, the scan continues, but periodically the message reappears. It seems that both addresses are always the same.

We will also check the application variables issue above.
Update: both issues (the access violation message and missing application variables) have been fixed in this build.

additionally in the new version 6.0 (x64) the friendly names are not displayed in the main window, even if the clients are in the same segment of the VLAN and the mac-address can be determined.
Could you please attach some screen shots (of the main window and the friendly names manager)?

Old Original: 8C:89:A5:54:86:67=something
New Duplicate: 8C89A5548667=something
Perhaps the code no longer recognizes the MAC address with colons.

AABBCCDDEEFF
AA-BB-CC-DD-EE-FF
AA:BB:CC:DD:EE:FF
This complicated things, so the new format always keeps them in one format:
AABBCCDDEEFF
Earlier builds of version 6.x had an issue with converting the new names to the old names when upgrading the config files. This issue has been fixed, however it can also occur when doing export/import of friendly names, I will check that on Monday.

Re: Bug in v6.0 - Computer Management missing 13 January 2015, 02:41 |
Just wanted to inquire and also report that the latest version is missing an option I use fairly often. I'm not sure if this was intended or not, but the Computer management feature is not available anymore, it is quite simple and powerful tool. I hope this will re-appear in future builds/versions.

I can no longer arrange IP Bookmarks in Bookmark Manager alphabetically. My new entry just remains at the bottom and doesn't respect the 'sort' by clicking the name column.
This is indeed an omission and it will be fixed. In the meantime you can re-arrange the entries by using drag'n'drop.

We have received a couple of reports similar to yours, where user's application entries disappeared after upgrading to version 6.x. Unfortunately the cause is unclear.
You can re-add those custom entries manually, but even better if you have an old config file with the custom entries and can send it to us, that would really help to determine the cause and fix it.
