Dark mode on Windows Server 2016 24 November 2023, 20:08

Hello guys,

If I start the Network Scanner on a Windows Server 2016, the "Dark Mode" option is greyed out. Any tips on getting it work or maybe a trick?

A more or less complete dark mode support was introduced in Windows version 1809 (build 17763), whereas the last update for Windows Server 2016 is version 1607. Therefore, the dark mode setting is disabled because the OS doesn't provide the necessary API to enable dark mode for Win32 apps.

Yeah, I was afraid this would be the reason. Then I'll have to wait until my team has upgraded all 2016 servers to 2022.
