Logged Users and UserName values are not showing

Logged Users and UserName values are not showing   25 January 2025, 08:00

While scanning, the value for "Logged User" shows nothing, and the value for "UserName" shows "A security package specific error occurred."

I have set up the scanner to use a domain admin account to run the scan.
I have added the "UserName" field under the Remote WMI section.
I have enabled the "Full logged name" and "User logon time" under the Remote Scripting section.

Nothing seems to pull in those values so I can get the logged in user for these devices.

The "A security package specific error occurred" error suggests a WMI authentication or permissions issue.

The first step in troubleshooting would be to test WMI Connectivity. Use wmic or wbemtest to connect to the target machine with the domain admin account.

For wmic:
wmic /node:<TargetMachine> computersystem get username

For wbemtes:
Connect to \\<TargetMachine>\root\cimv2 and query Win32_ComputerSystem

If it produces the same error message, you would need to investigate it further or contact Microsoft for support.
