RamDisk performance issue (slower than my 5400rpm hdd)

Started by Wil

Hello, I was testing softperfect Ram disk, I have a c# application that reads data out of a huge file, it just go through few millions of doubles from a file. When I use an old 5400rpm drive I go to more than 50,000 double per second, when I use Ram disk I go to 16,000 double per second, why is that?
thanks for your help
