Auto-mount RAM disk on Windows startup

Hi there.
I was wondering whether it is possible to set a ram disk to auto mount when the OS starts up.
I can't find an answer over the Internet and the only pertinent option is "launch automatically with Windows", but this doesn't mount my drive.

Every RAM disk that you're creating using menu commands "Disk -> Add" or "Disk -> Add boot disk" will be mounted automatically during system startup.
The difference between these two commands is in the system startup stage at which mounting occurs: boot-time disks are mounted at the boot stage before the logon screen, logon-time disks are mounted only after user has logged in. Note that if you unmount logon-time disk manually, it will not be mounted after system reboot unless you mount it again manually.

I just created a new disk with "Disk > Add Boot Disk", and I still have to manually mount it every time i start my pc..
By the way i'm using windows 8.1

Is that disk an image-based or a pure RAM disk?
Do you use "hard disk emulation" option for that disk?

image-based and yes, I use it (but I also tested without it).

What amount of RAM is visible to your system and what size of the image file?

I choose 1048 MB for my Ram Disk. Windows sees 1,098,903,552 bytes. The image file is 1,098,915,840 bytes.
When i have only RAM Disk and chrome opened i'm at 2.5 GB of memory usage over 8 GB.

What is your instance of Windows showing here?

Been having startup issues myself (not limited to Ram Disk though).

Do you get the SoftPerfect RamDisk icon in your system tray after start-up, or do you need to start it manually?

Hi, I have the same problem. Everything is allright with my setup except the disk have to be mounted manually on each restart. Is it because I flagged this disk as removable?

Probably not.
Try to create a logon-time disk, that is created when you log in. In order to do so, choose Disk - Add (not Disk - Add Boot Disk).

Nice software but I also have the same problem on Windows 7 x64.
Though I see Softperfect Ramdisk icon in the toolbar the disk is not automounted. Need to do it manually. Any solution?

I have the same problem with my windows 8.1 pro 64bit. But I can share my experience in this issue. When windows logs on to lock screen, I wait for about 10 seconds or more before sign in. Then I see Softperfect Ramdisk icon in the taskbar, it is auto-mounted amazingly. I guess the reason is the too fast start up by UEFI in windows 8.1 pro x64.

P.s: I just use add disk instead of add boot disk

I have same problem with my Win8.1 X64. Try different options but nothing help only manual start. Why it so? Too fast start? I have SSD as system drive.

So what happens if you create a logon-time RAM Disk, reboot the system and wait may be for 30 secs before you log on?
