3.5 GB RAM disk limit on 32 bit OS   21 April 2020, 13:46

Hi,
I require a 20 GB RAM drive on my server. But since my OS is 32 bit, it cannot create more than 3.5 GB.
Can I create lager RAM drives on this server. If so, how can this be achieved?

Thanks

32-bit versions can only use up to about 3.5 GB for a RAM disk, because 32-bit OS are able to address a maximum of 4 GB of RAM in total. You will need a 64-bit OS to use all your available RAM.
