"The procedure entry point could not be located" error

"The procedure entry point could not be located" error 28 June 2015, 21:08

When trying to launch SCE 1.6 on a 64-bit Win 8.1 machine I get the following error:

The procedure entry point [] could not be located in the dynamic link library C:\Program Files\SoftPerfect Connection Emulator\consim.exe.

(The character after "entry point" showed up as a box, ie. it seems to be an empty or invalid path. I replace the character with empty brackets to make it more forum friendly).

Running the process as an admin and/or in Win7 compatibility mode makes no difference.

Ideas?

Nevermind, it seems like the F-secure DeepGuard monitor did not play nice with SCE. Turning on compatibility mode for that solved the problem.
