How to create a lag for a certain amount of time 08 February 2022, 00:20 |
Hello there, so I am trying to achieve something and that is to lag myself for a certain amount of seconds without being disconnected from the internet. Which setting on the connection emulator would be best for this? I am trying to have high ping but also have a stable connection without lagging out of a call or a game.

Take a look at our product called NetGenius. It will let you set a delay (also know as latency or ping time) on any app or game.
Then you can tweak the delays and pick what works for you. A few seconds would be too much though, more likely something in the range of 50-500ms.
You can try setting a delay on your browser and see how it changes ping time in this speed test.

It really depends on what you mean by 'my network'.
If you want to add latency to any connection from and to your computer, NetGenius allows you to set that.
If you want to add latency to any connection from and to all of your devices, that's not really possible without tinkering with your router and using a custom firmware with it.
