Can I use this software as a non-admin user?

You don't need to be an admin user to use NetGenius. However, administrative privileges are required for its installation, because it needs to install a network driver.

Great thanks! Am I right to think that the taskbar notification will be displayed for non-admin users as well?

That is correct, it will be displayed.
