Problem with v 5.2.7 and TL-PS310U printer server   17 February 2013, 09:40

System:
Windows 7 64
TP-LINK TL-PS310U printer server
Epson RX500 printer

When I upgraded from 5.2.2 to 5.2.7 I found I could not connect to my printer via the TL-PS310U printer server.
I was however able to see the server and that the printer was connected to it!
Networx was configured to ignore local traffic.

The upgrade was undertaken as part of a fresh windows install so took many hours of head scratching to find the solution.
Down graded to my old copy of 5.2.2 and all seems fine.

Try the following:

1. Backup your usage.

2. Uninstall version 5.2.2.

3. Install version 5.2.7 with the Install LAN traffic filtering driver option unchecked.

4. Install WinPCap and restart NetWorx.

5. Now select your adapter in the drop down list. It will be marked as "Ignore local traffic".

That did the trick.
For reference I didn't have to reinstall WinPCap which was required for 5.2.2, and was able to select the network adapter as part of the install process

Thanks

Hi, I did have the same problem as Andrew_w and was able to solve the problem with your steps, but: under networx 5.2.8 with winpcap 4.1.3 I had to use the adaptor (in german) "Lokalen LAN-Verkehr ignorieren: Microsoft"
