Show apps in the usage report without ignoring LAN traffic

Started by john--

Can I show applications within the usage report without having to check "Ignore local traffic within the LAN" because when I check "Ignore local traffic within the LAN" I get a lesser usage reading than the proper amount.

No, this option is required because it loads up a special network driver that captures additional traffic info such as:
  • Process name (app) - used in the Apps report.
  • Where it comes from - used to filter out incoming LAN traffic.
  • Where it goes to - used to filter out outgoing LAN traffic.

When you tick the Ignore LAN traffic option, it's common to expect up to 10% under-reporting because in this mode NetWorx does not record what's called TCP/IP overhead.

If you would like to equalise the readings, you can do so in the hidden settings. There is one parameter called Usage Adjustment Factor. Set it to a value that represent the difference, e.g. 1.1 and NetWorx reading should match the ISP's ones.
