Difference between NetWorx and Connection Quality Monitor

Started by Thomas

Dear SoftPerfect, you offer NetWorx and Connection Quality Monitor. However, NetWorx seems to include the Connection Quality Monitor function, yet there is a significant difference in price.

What is the difference between the features of these two products?

Our use case is to be able to troubleshoot network problems with LTE/DSL on a laptop/PC better, to find out where the problem comes from when the connection drops, and how good are different wireless networks like LTE/5G or Starlink.

Many thanks for your support!

For a home user, NetWorx would generally be a better choice. It not only measures the Internet connection uptime and speed, but also generates detailed usage reports and includes a real-time network usage graph. One key difference is that NetWorx is a regular application that runs only when a user is logged in, making it ideal for personal monitoring.

On the other hand, Connection Quality Monitor is designed specifically for business environments. It operates as a service in the background, even when no users are logged in, and allows centralized monitoring from remote locations. This makes it perfect for businesses with multiple sites or offices, where network quality needs to be monitored from one central point.

In short, NetWorx is more feature-rich for individual users, offering additional tools like cross-platform support for macOS and Linux. Meanwhile, Connection Quality Monitor is tailored for businesses, offering robust, distributed network monitoring.
