RAM Disk requires administrative privileges

If the RAM Disk requires you to have administrative privileges while you are running it as Administrator, you need to edit the configuration file manually.

  1. Quit the RAM Disk application using File – Exit in the main menu. Do not use the [X] button as it will only minimise the application.
  2. Open the following file in Notepad:

    %ALLUSERSPROFILE%\SoftPerfect\RAM Disk\ramdisk.xml

  3. Change the following line:

    <useraccess>false</useraccess>

    to

    <useraccess>true</useraccess>

  4. Start the RAM Disk application again.
