Core service keeps running after exiting GUI

Hello,

I have installed Core + GUI.
After ending the GUI with 'Exit', the core service keeps running and gathers data. If I do not want this, the process has to be killed with Task Manager, and the service has to be disabled (it autostarts after 5 secs).

Is there a way to make the service stop when exiting the GUI?

Thanks.

PC: Win 7 Pro SP1 64-bit.

This behaviour is by design: the core service operates continuously in the background to collect statistics, while the GUI is an optional front-end that runs on demand and connects to the service for user interaction.

If you wish to stop the service, we recommend doing so gracefully rather than terminating it via Task Manager. You can stop it through the Services control panel applet, or by running the following command in an administrative command prompt:

net stop NGService

If you prefer a solution that doesn't rely on a background service, you might like to try our application NetWorx, which offers similar functionality but runs as a regular application.
