Tray icon greys out and no traffic recorded when connected

Hi there,
I have noticed today that when I connect to the internet, the Windows tray icon greys out and no traffic is being recorded. When I disconnect from the internet, the usual tray icon colour returns.
Windows 8.1, updated yesterday - any possible connection?
Any advice on how to fix this please?

OK folks, problem solved. Thank you.
I don't know how it happened, but it would seem that the network being monitored got switched.

Good to hear that you quickly discovered the source of the problem. :-)
Whenever the notification area icon becomes greyed out and/or the traffic monitoring suddenly stops, there are two things to check:
- Whether the correct network interface is selected in NetWorx settings, in the drop-down list in the Monitored interfaces section.
- Whether you are connected to the network selected for monitoring, via the Networks button next to the above.
