Unable to mount persistent image on macOS

I am unable to mount a persistent image on the latest version of macOS. I get an "hdiutil attach" syntax error when trying. Anyone else?
It's hard to say for certain without knowing your exact macOS version, but those images are standard DMG files, so you should be able to mount one just by double-clicking it in Finder. That said, there soon be a new RAM Disk release that may resolve your issue.
Our initial implementation of RAM Disk for macOS was based on the system's built-in command-line tools such as hdiutil. That approach proved to be problematic due to numerous limitations and issues across different OS versions.
We are now in the final stages of testing cross-platform RAM Disk builds for macOS, Linux and Windows. These will have full feature parity across all platforms, with each one including a kernel extension (a KO on Linux, a KEXT on macOS, and a kernel driver on Windows).
I'm using the very latest macOS.
Are you referring the installer DMG files? I have no problem installing the app. The issue is mounting images created by the app. I cannot mount manually or on startup.
Does double clicking the DMG file load it into ram? That's what I'm trying to do.
Any eta on the KEXT version? Can we beta test?
Depending on how the final tests go, the new RAM Disk release in planned for this or early next week.
Downloaded new version and it appears to be working.
Is there a way to suppress the main window from opening on startup?
It's actually not supposed to open a window on startup. The intended behaviour is for the app to start quietly and show an icon in the menu bar.
Are you seeing a normal application window appear after login? If so, could you please give us a screenshot?
Also, when restarting your Mac, please make sure that "Reopen windows when logging back in" is not enabled, as that can cause previously open application windows to be restored automatically.
It is both in the menu bar and opens a window. "Reopen on restart" is not enabled.
I fixed this problem by removing RAMdisk from the login items in Mac's settings panel. Then I enabled autostart from within RAMdisk. I noticed that the latter toggles background activity in Mac's setting but doesn't add to the login items. I suspect a previous version of RAMdisk added to login while the new KEXT version doesn't need this.
