Excel freezes when using RAM FS

Dear SoftPerfect Support Team,
Since installing RAM FS software, I have been experiencing problems when working with Microsoft Excel spreadsheets. The application frequently freezes, causing me to lose my work. After doing some research online, I discovered that this seems to be a known issue.
Perhaps choosing the RAM FS software was not the best decision for my specific needs. I am a typical user who mainly works with spreadsheets and other office applications, such as Microsoft Office 365 and similar programs.
My question is whether it might be more suitable for me to instead use your other product, SoftPerfect RAM Disk. Alternatively, if you could provide me with an effective solution to resolve the problems I am currently experiencing with RAM FS, I would be happy to consider it.
I should also mention that I previously used SoftPerfect RAM Disk version 3.4.8 without experiencing any issues.
Thank you very much for your attention and assistance.
I look forward to hearing from you.
Kind regards.
We are sorry to hear that your Excel has been freezing. The most likely cause is the Windows temporary folder (TEMP and TMP), which Excel writes to constantly. If it points to a location that doesn't exist, for example a drive letter left over from your old RAM Disk, or to a RAM volume that is missing its Temp folder or is full, Excel can freeze.
To check, open Tools → Set Windows Temporary Folder in RAM File System. If TEMP or TMP points anywhere unexpected, set both to %USERPROFILE%\AppData\Local\Temp, click OK, then sign out and back in Windows. If Excel then behaves well, the issue is resolved.
If you'd like to keep temporary files on the RAM volume, open the volume's properties, add Temp to the Create Folders list, tick Create automatically at startup, and make sure it's big enough. Then point TEMP and TMP to it again, for example R:\Temp. Please keep the spreadsheets themselves on your normal drive, as the RAM volume is cleared at shutdown.
If Excel still freezes, let us know what your TEMP and TMP are set to, the size of your RAM volume and your RAM File System version, and we'll look into it further.
