Constant write to image file with period image saves   15 January 2014, 14:04

Hi, I have configured Firefox to use your RAMDisk as described here: http://www.overclock.net/t/674767/how-to-increasing-firefox-performance-with-a-ramdisk

I have a consistent write of about 1Mb/s to the image file, with a 10 minute save interval set while browsing. Is anyone else seeing this behavior?

I also have the periodic maxing out of one of my CPU cores. I have seen this mostly when I resume from a system standby, and every time that I try to run more than one ramdisk.

I also had an issue where my system would hang on shutdown when the ramdisk was set to load at boot, but once I loaded the disk at logon that issue went away.

Other than those small issues, thanks for a great product! I have found that the read/writes are about twice as fast as any other free Ramdisk out there, and your software allows for backup every X minutes.

It sounds like this bug. We seem to have fixed it and will publish an update shortly.

Update: this issue has been fixed in version 3.4.4. It can be downloaded from the home page.
