RAM disk without GUI   03 March 2022, 15:25

Hi,

Can SoftPerfect RAM Disk be run as a service or a driver such that the disk is present on the system even when no one has a console session into the server? From what I can tell, my R: drive only exists if I'm signed in. Is there any way around that?

Yes. RAM disks can be one of two types: boot-time disks and logon-time disks. For boot-time disks GUI is not required as they are initialised automatically by the driver on system startup even if nobody logs on.
