WiFi Guard name

Just curious why this program is named "WiFi Guard" as it detects both wired and wireless devices connected to the network.

Could it be more aptly named "Network Guard"?

Because its primary purpose is to monitor wireless networks where there's a high probability of unathorised access.

In wired networks at home and in an office environment it almost never happens.

Sometimes you can get the answer faster if you try the forum search and/or have a look at the software user manual to see if your question has already been answered.
