Privacy question about data transmission to external servers

Started by C.

While performing network scans I noticed that the app is transmitting something to external servers, for example to api.softperfect.com. I am wondering, what exactly is being transmitted and what is your privacy policy regarding this?

Thanks

Only MAC addresses are sent out, to help identify device types. No other information from your scan is transmitted.

If you prefer to keep all your scan data private, this feature can be easily disabled. Simply open Settings - Advanced tab, and uncheck Online device recognition (sends us device MAC address).
