Incorrect password for localhost

Hi,

I recently installed NetGenius and it was working fine until a system restart; now, I receive an error that it cannot connect to localhost due to incorrect password. There shouldn't be any password to my knowledge.

Please advise.

That is very strange. You can try deleting your device from NetGenius's view and then re-adding it by clicking Connect to. Enter localhost for name and a blank password.

If that doesn't help, here is how to recover the password:
  1. Download SQLiteSpy
  2. Launch it and load the NetGenius database file located in %PROGRAMDATA%\SoftPerfect\NetGenius
  3. Run the following query in SQLiteSpy:
    SELECT PARAM_VALUE FROM CONFIG WHERE PARAM_NAME = 'access.password'
    It should display your password.
