Disabling update notifcation   12 August 2013, 13:40

Hi Andrew,
Is there a way to disable/prevent the occasional 'notification pop-up' of updating from 5.2.8 to 5.2.9 ?
With so much or problems with 5.2.9, I will rather prefer to hang on to the the hassle-free 5.2.8 for what seems a long time.
Thanks,
Neel

Thanks Andrew for your prompt help!

Just one more request: I know you don't retain older versions. However, if possible, can you please check and let me know if this PORTABLE version of Networx 5.2.8 is the most updated one ( as I remember, there were some glitches in the first release of 5.2.8 and then you had fixed the error) https://skydrive.live.com/?cid=962ec737bab101be&id=962EC737BAB101BE!376&authkey=!ANsMowTTahEPQ4k.

As you will understand, I don't have a tester computer at my disposal but I would like to keep this old portable version in my folder - just in case I need in the the future. (I am using the installer version in both my PCs flawlessly).

Thanks so much,
Neel

Sorry, I can't really tell. This version from the link provided has been modified (our digital signature and timestamp removed), so I am not sure what build it actually is.

Aww..hoping against hope, can you please provide a legitimate 3rd party newest/updated PORTABLE version of Networx 5.2.8, if you are unable to provide one from your own old stock?!

You can safely use the portable edition of version 5.2.9. It does not have any issues.

In fact all the changes in 5.2.9 apply to the installable version only.

Hi,
How can I disable update notifications to keep using my old version "Networx 5.4.2." ?

I just read the article above but I don't have access to the settings to disable the update notifications. By clicking the Networx Icon a pop up opens that lets me choose only one option to download a new version (not free).

On this page you say:
"If you prefer to remain a freeware user, you can disable update notifications and continue using the free version you already have for as long as you like. Make sure you keep a copy of the files, as freeware downloads are no longer available."

How can do it?

Thanks for an answer and greetings from Italy,
Alba

To disable automatic update checks, you need to:
  1. With the right mouse button click NetWorx icon in the notification area.
  2. In the pop-up menu that appears click "Settings":
