Setup on home network to manage Internet usage

Started by Eddie

I have a home network accessing the Internet through Hughes Net via a hardware router. We have 5 or so devices that I would like to track usage on. I am not quite clear on the setup. I am reading the manual, but any specific suggestions or direction would be great.

Thanks,
Eddie

In addition to the manual, we have this article ithat may help in your case: Can NetWorx monitor all my devices (iPad, laptops, smart TV)?

Basically if your devices are not Windows-based computers, then you will be only monitoring combined usage without per-device breakdown, and only if the router supports the necessary SNMP or UPnP functions.

Unfortunately there is no simple way to monitor every device in a home network as they access the Internet independently through the router, and there is no way to capture their usage from a regular computer connected to the same network.

Sometimes you can find a solution faster if you try the forum search, have a look at the knowledge base, or check the software user manual to see if your question has already been answered.
