NetWorx or Connection Quality Monitor: which should you choose?

NetWorx and Connection Quality Monitor can both test your Internet connection’s speed and record when it goes down. NetWorx is made for individual users and does much more besides, while Connection Quality Monitor is made for businesses that need to watch connections in one or several locations.

NetWorx

NetWorx is generally the better choice for home users. Besides testing the speed and uptime of your connection, it reports in detail how much data you use and shows your network activity on a live graph. It runs on Windows, macOS and Linux as a regular application, so it monitors while you are signed in, which suits personal use.

Connection Quality Monitor

Connection Quality Monitor is designed for business networks. It runs as a Windows service in the background, even when nobody is signed in, and keeps a constant record of ping times, jitter, packet loss, upload and download speeds, and downtime. It can be installed at several sites, such as branch offices, and all of them can be managed from one console on an administrator’s computer.

Choose it when you need evidence of how your connections perform over time, for example to check that a provider meets its service level agreement.

Try before you buy
