Hi Mike, Instead of using the installed version, set up multiple Portable copies, one per ISP. Name the folder for each copy with the ISP name. Create a shortcut for each copy, using the appropriate ISP name. These must be configured to NOT start with windows, i.e. you'll have to start the appropriate one yourself before you connect to the ISP. This way, each copy will have it's own dat

Thanks Andrew, That seems to have done the trick. I didn't have this entry so I added it 224.0.0.0 to 239.255.255.255 I suppose I could say that I should have known to include all possible multicast addresses, but that's way out of my league. and J

Hi Andrew, I installed this latest version dated 2013-07-20 with the custom driver. Hi Andrew, It might help if those menus were drop down lists which would make it more obvious that those options exist. It's not intuitive to use the current implementation, most users don't read the Help and most wouldn't think to hover over and click on the Titles. I have to admit that I didn't learn about the option until I read one of your posts on this forum... J

I'm sure that most routers supplied by an ISP will not allow the user to use SNMP. If you want the feature, you'll have to buy your own router (check before buying though and make sure it has all the nice extra security features too). J

Note: the 'unknown' traffic is a 'ghost', it's never been transmitted through my router or measured/charged for by my ISP. However it does affect the Networx quota so you think you've used a lot when you haven't.. To satisfy yourself that this is 'ghost' traffic, compare the Networx total to your ISP which should provide the data usage/traffic counts throughout the month. Well, at least m

Thanks Andrew, I'd never used SQL before, the "Execute SQL" was greyed out and I was at a loss of what to do. I used SQLiteSpy to create and save a simple one line file named PRAGMA.sql and was able to match your results. This worked: copy networx.db from 2013-05-03 which has 5 tables to replace the current networx.db which has 8 tables open networx check the config and counts to May 3rd = OK open the Usage Report and Restore usage data from Backup 5.2.7 2013-06-05.xml to networx.db check the config and counts to June 5th = OK exit networx install v 5.2.8 which created the Application table (but now ther

Well that didn't work, traffic was not updating from the router. I put the 'working' v.5.2.8 db back and router traffic is being recorded again, but the Application table is still missing which means that I can't Backup my stats. I really need to know how to do the PRAGMA thing. Thanks, J

Tom V, if you have both install files, check their Properties > Details and you'll see different dates. Andrew doesn't change the version number unless he releases it via the normal download site or through Check Updates.

Quoteupload and download tabs are switched. What tabs? I use SNMP and the reported traffic is correct for both up and down, in the graph and the reports. Maybe your router is passing the data 'switched' as far as what is normally expected by Networx. J

I had to go through a bit of a learning process, but I've done it now and I can see that I could also have two profiles, one for general browsing and another for financial transactions. I tried RAMdisk Kevin but my needs were/are very simple and since all my drives are Sata3 SSDs, I didn't see much difference in speed, at least for what I tried. I haven't tried any other 'ramdisk' so I can't help you there. A 'ramdisk' is probably a great app for folks that have slow HDDs and are continually accessing (a lot of) the same files over and over and that will fit into an image fil

That is a common issue with security apps. I used to use a security app that, because of timing issues during the boot process, would occasionally "not trust" something that had already been marked as 'Trusted and Allowed'. At least that app popped up a warning, if Avast doesn't then that's too bad. But, you're using the 'free' version of Avast which may not offer that option. Anyway,

Are you using a VPN? If so, both the physical device and the VPN device are counting the same traffic, giving 'double' results. You can select just one device or use the Factor to 'divide by two' (you'd actually specify the Factor in the Hidden settings as "0.5". J
